Chicago: Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan’s order forced the protesters to vacate the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” (CHOP) zone, which was taken over by them after the death of George Floyd in May.

The CHOP zone in Seattle, initially known as Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), had drawn significant national attention after it was illegally occupied by the protesters who declared it a police-free zone.

Anti-Trump show fizzles out: The Seattle Police clear off the protesters’ zone.

Following the Mayor’s executive order on Tuesday, the Seattle police finally dismantled CHOP after nearly three weeks. Police tore down demonstrators’ tent in the area.

Seattle department of Transportation workers removed the barricades at CHOP zone.

The Mayor’s executive order came after a series of shootings and other violent crimes in this area.
