New Delhi: India has decided to send supplies, including medicines, to China to fight the coronavirus epidemic which has so far claimed over 1,600 lives and infected more than 50,000 Chinese since January 21 when its outbreak was reported in Wuhan, a city of 1.10 million in central province of Huawei.
On Sunday, Indian Ambassador to China Vikram Misri posted a video on the official Twitter handle stating that India will soon send consignment of medical supplies to aid and assist China. He expressed India’s solidarity with the Chinese people and Beijing.
The Ministry of External Affairs in India also confirmed it by re-tweeting Misri’s tweets.
“This is a concrete measure which will fully demonstrate the goodwill, solidarity and friendship of the people and government of India with the Chinese people. India will do everything within its means to support the people of China in this crisis hours” .
