જોધપુર, 12 ઑક્ટોબર, 2026 – Air Chief Marshal’s final flight before retirement ભારતીય વાયુસેનાના વર્તમાન વડા એર ચીફ માર્શલ આગામી 31 ઑક્ટોબરે નિવૃત્ત થઈ રહ્યા છે. ભારત સરકારે તેમના સ્થાને એર માર્શલ આશુતોષ દિક્ષિતની આગામી એર ચીફ માર્શલ તરીકે થોડા દિવસ પહેલાં નિયુક્તિ કરી હતી, જેઓ 31 ઑક્ટોબરે પદભાર સંભાળશે.
દરમિયાન, વર્તમાન વાયુસેના વડા એર ચીફ માર્શલ એ. પી. સિંહે તાજેતરમાં પોતાની અંતિમ ફાઇટર ઉડાન માટે આકાશમાં ઉડાન ભરી હતી. જે ઉડાન પ્રત્યેના તેમના અવિરત જુસ્સા અને રાષ્ટ્રસેવા પ્રત્યેની અચળ પ્રતિબદ્ધતા દ્વારા ઘડાયેલી એક વિશિષ્ટ કારકિર્દીની નિર્ણાયક ક્ષણ બની રહી હતી.
જોધપુર ખાતે યોજાયેલી એક્સરસાઇઝ તરંગશક્તિ-26 (#TarangShakti26) દરમિયાન મિત્ર વિદેશી દેશોના વિમાનો અને ‘સૂર્યકિરણ એરોબેટિક ટીમ’ સાથે ઉડાન ભરતી એર ચીફ માર્શલની આ સોર્ટી હંમેશા આગળ રહીને નેતૃત્વ કરવામાં વિશ્વાસ રાખતા એક ફાઇટર પાઇલટની ભાવનાને પ્રતિબિંબિત કરે છે.

Flying alongside Friendly Foreign Country aircraft and the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team during Exercise #TarangShakti26, the sortie reflects the spirit of a fighter pilot who has always believed in leading from the front.
As one chapter draws to a close, the passion remains undiminished. The skies may mark the end of a flying chapter, but the mission of service to the Nation continues.

જોકે, થોડા દિવસમાં આવી રહેલી નિવૃત્તિ સાથે આ પ્રકરણનો અંત આવી રહ્યો છે તેમ છતાં એક સૈન્ય જવાનનો જુસ્સો અકબંધ છે. આકાશ એ ઉડાનના પ્રકરણના અંતનું પ્રતીક હોઈ શકે છે, પરંતુ રાષ્ટ્રસેવાનું મિશન ચાલુ રહેશે.
